Our visit to the Oklahoma Eagle Nest

Here is a better picture of our OK nest. Learning how to use my camera and this laptop! Duh!
Met two local eagle watchers who helped us locate and watch three more nests.

Just as we got to this nest the eagle flew out.

This was the closest nest we saw. It has one young eagle about to fledge. He was eating. Did not see an adult eagle.

In the v of this tree (tallest tree) is a nest. We saw a bird carrying "something" into the tree,.

The pole on the hill does have the wide view cam. Quite a set up!

Oklahoma Wild

This lovely Copperhead was in the middle of the road. We were safely in the van. First time either of us had seen a poisonous snake in the wild. Hopefully the last time.

You can not see it but the nest is in the middle of the picture. Do not have a camera like Deb's. Oh, well!
The pole on the top of the hill to the right has the wide view cam. Cable runs to a pole further down, then to another pole near the edge of the water and then to the nest.

Our excuse for NOT launching the raft! LOL

Wish I had Deb or Paula's camera!
I want to soar with the eagles!

It was COLD!

An eagle is on top of the pole in the center of the picture. The pole at the top of the hill on the right has the cam with the powerful zoom lens. (We think!)
Jack was walking closer to the pole when the eagle flew.

He left the pole and went out of sight over the lake to the north.
